Clarience Technologies Develops New Partnership with Penn State Behrend

Erie, Pennsylvania (March 30, 2021) – Clarience Technologies, LLC, a worldwide leader in transportation safety and visibility solutions, has announced the Early Career Professorship program in conjunction with Penn State Behrend.

Starting in 2021 and throughout the next three years, Clarience Technologies will coordinate with a Penn State Behrend faculty member, who will guide four senior design projects concentrating in the area of data analytics. The collaboration will both support and be supplemented by the ongoing data analytics efforts conducted by the Road Ready telematics division of Clarience Technologies and will serve to further develop high-performance students in the data analytics field.

“We are excited to enter this new phase of partnership with Penn State Behrend,” said Paul Sniegocki, chief technology officer for Clarience Technologies. “Road Ready is the most extensive and inclusive aggregator of data in the commercial vehicle market, and partnering with Penn State Behrend furthers our mission of providing enhanced safety and efficiency for fleets by converting this data to usable information.”

The Early Career Professorship represents the latest development in the longstanding relationship between Clarience Technologies and Penn State Behrend. The College’s School of Engineering has worked closely with research and development teams for Truck-Lite, Clarience’s flagship brand, since 2006.

“Senior design projects are a signature feature of our School of Engineering, and a key reason our graduates succeed in the earliest stages of their careers,” said Tim Kurzweg, director of the School of Engineering at Penn State Behrend. “The support and involvement of partner companies such as Clarience Technologies give our students the opportunity to collaborate with both faculty advisers and professionals to apply what they have learned in the classroom, and to see firsthand the improvements that result from innovation.”
