OEM Sales Manager

Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for developing, improving and maintaining sales of Truck-Lite product line via daily sales calls with Trailer/Body & Fleet market customers and other OEM, OES, and special assigned accounts based in Northcentral US.

Coordinates with Regional and Divisional sales staff efforts.

Participates on cross-functional teams for planning and developing new products. Cooperates, coordinates, and enhances team efforts of all Truck-Lite personnel at all levels.

Participates in and conducts dealer sales training seminars, open houses, trade shows to help create and promote sales and education of the customer base.

Reports competitive market information to Truck-Lite. Responds with requested market information in an accurate and timely manner.

Completes electronic reporting and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner including Salesforce contacts, Concur expense forms, engineering work requests, quote forms, etc. - controls expenses and keeps company equipment in clean working condition. Reports any problems to your supervisor or appropriate department personnel.  Looks for ways to increase productivity with available resources.

Supports other assignments as directed.

Extensive travel is required.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

BS degree and 7-10 years of increasingly responsible sales experience in the heavy-duty Trailer/Body/Fleet markets.

Preferred candidates will have extensive knowledge of Truck-Lite products and/or sales experience with commercial vehicle manufacturers and/or with other heavy-duty Trailer market customers.  Related sales experience within heavy-duty Truck/Trailer market is required for consideration.  OEM Sales experience, experience with ERP business management software packages, and be proficient with contact management databases (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office products.  The successful candidate should have strong problem solving, communication, organization, and project time-line management skills.
