PURCHASE ORDER COORDINATOR

Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Contact vendors to obtain information on the status of Purchase Orders (PO’s).

Express urgency with vendors as needed based on the specific situation.

Update JDE to reflect the status of PO’s including promised delivery date, actual ship date and tracking info if shipped.

Communicate with Material Planners regarding potential part shortages.

Escalate and document any supply issues (pricing, terms, rev level, etc.) and follow-up on resolutions.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Preferred candidates will have 2 years of college or equivalent; familiarity with Purchase Orders and knowledge of MRP system administration. Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, require minimal supervision, have good decision-making skills, and the ability to adapt/change quickly. Candidates must also have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software components.

 

Due to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) requirements, all candidates must be presently classified as a “US Person" which includes:  a United States citizen; a permanent legal resident (green card holder); or a protected individual (refugee/asylum status).
